This 2 bedroom 1 bath space was just renovated, and designed with all new furnishings and appliances.

This lovely place is located on the top floor of a 2 story property, Spacious and bright with lots of lighting, custom modern gray colors throughout, new Bamboo hardwood floors in the Bedrooms and rustic Tuscan tile in the living room, hallway, kitchen, dining room and bathroom. New fixtures, with Bright lighting throughout, with ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room.

The Living room is decorated with vintage collectables and beautiful art. Furnishings include; super comfy leather electric lazy boy reclining couch, 64" plasma flat screen tv mounted to the wall with Samsung smart T.V to jump on You Tube, watch your Netflix, Blockbuster online, or Amazon Prime account. Cable with HBO & Premium channels and Blu-ray player, amplifier, with surround sound. It’s better than going to the movies! Cable, Internet / Wifi with around 50mb download speeds, and are also provided along with Books, board games and puzzles.
Located on the second floor with no one above you, boasts a front and back patio area for lounging outside.
Rustic concrete countertops in the kitchen, with mosaic tiles, new custom alder cabinets with plenty of storage space and wall shelves around, Bright under cabinet lighting to light up the workspace. New appliances including stove, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge along with a toaster, blender, beaters and coffee maker. including: some seasonings, ground coffee, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, spatulas, and so much more....

Larger bedroom has Queen size bed with comfy nova foam mattress topper. Bedside table, ihome alarm clock and stereo and lamps on each side, and ceiling fan for good airflow. new mirrored closet doors with dual racks to make it a large closet.

Smaller bedroom is set up as an office / guest room the couch pulls out to make a queen size bed. We have extra linens in the closet. Floating wall shelves and lamps on the book shelf, and desk. It is the perfect place to study, or get business done. The closet has mirrored closet doors and duel racks.

The bathroom has Modern Vanity / sink with 2 drawers, with glass, and white tiles around the tub / shower, gym style towel holders. Body Towels hand towels and washcloths included.

Close to Trax so you can get to and from wherever you are going easily.
Humidifier in the apartment for the dry air, which keeps the apartment calm and cool. Friendly neighbors who we know very well.

Location

We are right smack in the middle of everything from the UofU Downtown, Trolley Square, and parks, this location has it all. Downtown has new City Creek mall with great shops great eating and an amazing Gym. Gateway Mall has a Megaplex Theater with IMaX. Temple Square and the convention center is just down the street. University of Utah Campus is just 7 blocks east and you have to try The PIE. One block away on 4th Ave is Trax the new light rail, public transportation system. 4th also offers many choices of places to grab a bite to eat, and an award winning Library. Liberty park is a few blocks past 4th it is a great place to jog, and it has a large city pool. Park City and all the fun up there is only 45 minutes through the Canyon. Ski and Snowboard at Brighton, SnowBird, The Canyons, and Solitude they are all within 30 to 50 minutes depending on conditions.
The airport is 15 minutes to the West Quick and Convenient, Trax will be able to pick you up and drop you off within 1 block of the property.

The Neighborhood has many Restaurants, Grocery stores, and shops. A convenience store is at the end of the street and there are 5 Grocery stores within a 6-7 block radius. Village In is 1 block away and a great 24 hour Restaurant with free wifi.

If you want to park in front that is fine, but there are parking spaces behind the building if you want to park closer to the door. From the front of the building go up to 1000 East and turn left, got to 200 South and turn left again. Half way down the street you will see an area to do a U-turn which will take you to Pennsylvania Ave. Turn right. You will follow Pennsylvania almost until the end until you see a turn on your right where you will see two posts on each side. Pull in there and go all the way to the far back behind our building. You are welcome to park there.

Derick's apartment is the better place in town to stay. It is really well located, one block from the TRAX, Grocerys and shops, near from a ski shop to buy discount tickets, easy to get the main roads either for the mountains and for the airport. Just as far from the downtown to get there quickly and without the noise, traffic and homeless people.Derick's apartment has all of the amenities you could need during a long stay I mean the kitchen and the living room are well equipped. Rooms and bathroom was clean and comfy. You can easily consider to get a person sleeping in the sofa-bed during a week long without having a backache. You have a parking lot, the laundry was clean too. With the beautiful weather we had during our stay, we used the front gallery to relax hanging a couple of beers while watching the mountains and listening to the music in the nice stereo system. We were unable to make the Netflix work on the large and fancy TV and the Wi-Fi busted many times but that's the only negative point. The apartment looks exactly as the pictures on the website so if you are tempt by this place, don't hesitate and you would not be disappointed. Would recommend to any visitors.

Derick's place was perfect for what my friend and I needed it for. Clean, well equipped and a great location. Had no trouble dialing in the Netfix and I am now addicted to a 60+ inch tv. 2 porches and parking lot are a plus. Would stay here again.

House was beautiful, clean, well-appointed. Check-in was smooth, location fantastic. The very best thing about the house was the kitchen - even two professional cooks found everything they needed to make themselves happy. Of the two beds, one is very very soft, and the other quite hard, even with the foam cover on it. We were unable to make the Netflix work on the large and fancy TV, (though, to be fair, we didn't try that hard). We also filled and plugged in the humidifier, and found that it did not work either even after multiple attempts to clean it, which was a disappointment. A very enjoyable stay, overall. Would recommend to any visitors.

All the amenities you could ask for. Large tv. Walking distance to Trader Joes and Trax station. Beautiful apartment. Amazing bed. Great couches. Great kitchen.

The unit was clean, nicely decorated and centrally located. The appliances are new and kitchen fairly well stocked. If you are a skier this is the perfect place for you as you are close to all resorts.

Derek's place was amazing. The interior is very well planned out and clean. It is very centrally located to shopping and downtown. It feels like a home away from home. Derrick is also very responsive and friendly.the home is very neat very well planned out and beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here over any hotel when visiting Salt Lake City.

I had a really great experience spending 2 months in Salt Lake City in this apartment , it has everything you need and the best thing is its location it is amazing just one block from the TRAX which make everything easy , one block from the bus number 2 that goes to UofU , also near smiths market which is essential, and Derick was really amazing guy , he is nice , friendly and super helpful and he can do and manage everything by himself , I was lucky to meet him and we has nice time shopping at smiths marketplace , thanks for the nice stay Derick

Our stay in Derick's apartment was my first experience on airbnb; and I have to say that it started pretty well. I didn't have the opportunity to met Derick in person but he was available by phone or e-mail and answered quickly and efficiently our questions and requests. The apartment is very comfy, clean and well located. I had a great time and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Our stay in salt lake city was excellent. Derick thought of everything and was extremely attentive to our needs. He was available for anything that we needed at a moments notice. Everything is new and clean in the apartment - it was very comfortable. Trax station is right down the street (within a block), so it is easy to get anywhere if you don't happen to have a car (especially to the U Utah hospital).
